 Online Colour blending workshop for Fair Isle and stranded knitting projects

My Colour Blending workshop is for a small group of 6 people in each session, so that there is plenty of time to ask questions and participate. 

From tradition to trend. Breathe new life into your colour work knitting projects with complete colour confidence. 

Do you have a Fair Isle knitting project, but are not sure how to choose your colours or would like to be braver with colour choice? Do you like stranded knitting projects but you don’t like the colour choices in the pattern decided by the designer and would like to successfully choose your own colours?  My Colour Blending workshop is an online Zoom, two hour fun, interactive, creative session to experiment with coloured yarn in order to gain the skills to successfully and confidently choose colours for your own future stranded knitting projects.

For the session, you will be asked to bring your stash yarn to your own table  for the workshop (do not buy special yarn as we are looking at colour). You can look at your own stash of yarn and I will teach you how to get the best out of colours for your stranded colour work projects.

Small group 6 person Online Colour Blending workshop price is the same as 2024 prices – Week day slots are £39 per person. Weekend slots are £44 per person. PAYABLE THROUGH PAYPAL OR UK BANK A/C                    All participants will receive pdf presentation handouts after the session as well as 20% off all my knitting patterns and access to private facebook group for colour blending examples and Sea Urchin knitting pattern to work with after the workshop –

   Transform your Yarn stash into stunning Fair Isle Pieces.

Join my 90 minute workshop and learn how  to use the Fair Isle chart worksheet to design, shape and create your own Fair Isle jumper or vest.    If you would like to transform your stash and develop your skills to learn how  to build your own jumper or vest using the many Fair Isle motifs in my Fair Isle chart worksheet, then this workshop is for you. If you are just interested in learning how to develop your Fair Isle OXO pattern skills  and be able to ask questions – then this is also the session is also for you  -Some practical points that you will learn in this workshop.

• Alignment of motifs (your project centre front / centre back 
• Look at the 24 stitch repeat in the motifs used in this worksheet- which can you can place in a different order in your project, or you can choose just one motif and repeat it.
• Gauge of your swatch and how to calculate your results into your project.
• Before starting, you will consider the size of your finished project (ie jumper) and how you can achieve the perfect size for you 
• You will learn what colours you like / what goes together / what does and doesn’t work -for you as this is a personal project. You will learn to adapt both the pattern and develop your skills
